Many people do not have an understanding of the working arrangements between real estate agents. Agents have cooperating agreements where all properties can be shown by all agents. Marketing costs are usually paid by the Seller of the property and the listing agent usually gets one-half of any commission earned and the selling agent gets the other one-half. These cooperative agreements are established in order to present the Sellers property to as many prospective buyers as possible and to expose the Buyer to as wide a variety of available properties as possible. So Buyer, diligently select your agent and stay with them!
